Led development of APIs providing shared LLM capabilities across services. Took responsibility for design, implementation, team development, and operational practices, bringing the APIs into production.

• Designed the architecture, API specifications, automated tests, and AWS infrastructure for APIs built with Python, FastAPI, and LiteLLM. Introduced architecture decision records (ADRs) to document design decisions.

Joined as a new graduate and worked on replacing engage's employer-facing backend. Engaged the team in design and implementation to modernize an end-of-life Laravel application, support a Next.js frontend, and bring development in-house.

• Applied domain-driven design and Clean Architecture to PHP backend development and the redesign of legacy code.
• Designed and implemented AWS infrastructure, from VPC and networking to resource placement and containerization with ECS. Used a modular Terraform structure to manage infrastructure as code.
• Established CI/CD with CodeBuild and CodePipeline. Introduced blue-green deployments suited to the application's characteristics.
• Set up CI checks with PHPCS and PHPStan, designed automated tests with code coverage in mind, and introduced automated dependency updates with Renovate.
